Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery of Cherokee is one of the newest restaurants in the North Carolina Smoky Mountain Region and expands on the great menu of our original Smokehouse in North Wilkesboro with a daily Lunch and Dinner Buffet. Along with the garden fresh Salad Bar and Handcrafted Ice Cream we are known for, our Buffets feature our Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork Barbecue and Chicken, as well as a variety of new entrees and like Smoked Pork Chops, Pot Roast, and Chicken Pot Pie, and more vegetables than most people have ever seen in one place!

After 4, Come in for some of the most tender and flavorful Hickory Smoked St. Louis Style Ribs anywhere west of Wilkes County (Hint: you might find those Ribs on our Dinner Buffet on Monday evenings). Not up for the whole buffet? Great Barbecue Sandwiches, Cheeseburgers and many other favorites are available anytime off our menu, and trips to our Salad Bar are the best deal in town. Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery always has great daily Sandwich Specials and the freshest, richest Ice Creams in town.

Groups and Tours Are Welcome

We have plenty of room to seat large groups in our ample dining room which is dedicated to the history and culture of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians, our hosts on the Qualla Boundary, which is the autonomous home of the Tribe. Around the restaurant you will see a variety of local art from Cherokee Artisans from carved wooden masks, to paintings, baskets, weavings to enlargements of archival images from the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. Bus Parking is available behind the Microtel Inn and Suites next door.

Our Handcrafted Ice Cream is Made Fresh Daily

At Brushy Mountain Creamery we make some of the richest, creamiest Ice Cream around these or any parts, and you’ll never know which of our 75 flavors you’ll find in our display case. Will it be Blueberry Farm, Nutty Coconut, Thunder Road, or Orange-Mango Sorbet? We will always have 23 or so of your favorite flavors to place into a freshly baked waffle cone or bowl or spun into a Smokehouse Shake, and you can always get the world’s best Banana Split to share with a friend, we hope.

The Creamery has the perfect solution for any dessert need: a custom formed Cake or Pie in any flavor of our Ice Cream, and decorated to perfection for any occasion, from a simple message written in icing to many elaborately decorated Theme cakes for any age. We have four different sizes of cakes and pies and all are very reasonably priced.
